WAIKANAE SUPER GARDEN TRAIL SUB-COMMITTEE OF PROJECTS COMMITTEE

Chairman.  Kevin Sheppard

This is a Sub-committee of the Projects Committee

The annual Waikanae Super Garden Trail is one of the major events on the Kapiti Coast with visitors from both Kapiti and outside of Kapiti enjoying the beauty of the selected 12 Waikanae Gardens.  Waikanae is famous for its beautiful gardens and the town has been voted New Zealands most beautiful small town on a number of occasions and the gardens that are displayed on the Garden Trail support this view of Waikanae.

The Garden Trail project is our Club's major fundraising project each year and while it was traditionally held in January / February of each year, from 2016 the decision was made to change the timing to November, in order to show of the gardens at their best -- Springtime. For further information about the Waikanae Super Garden Trail, please contact the project convenor at kev.joc@gmail.com

Committee Members: Bob Beasley, Graeme McLeod, Alan Pratt, Bernie Shiell, Kevin Woodley

YOUTH and WELFARE COMMITTEE

Director --  Jeremy Seamark

The Youth and Welfare Committee is a very active component in how the Waikanae Lions actively interacts with the Waikanae Community.  Whether it is by resourcing the various charity collections we undertake within our region, or by interacting on a one on one basis with the youth of our community to assist them in their individual efforts. The Youth and Welfare committee makes funding allocation requests to the Waikanae Lions Board to consider and if approved funding allocations are made to various groups and or individuals in our community.

For any further information about our Youth and Welfare committee, please contact Jeremy Seamark  jeremyseamark@gmail.com

Committee Members: Michael Brice, Terry Burch, Jeremy Carter, Bryan Kilmister, Noel Morgan, Barry Nodder, Owen Woodman
