In a project that has taken more than a year, we are pleased to have the finshed two GIANT carved Picnic Tables and installed them at the Orewa Beach Reserve.

This is our 100 year Centenary gift to the people of Orewa celebrating 100 years since Lions Clubs was founded in the USA.

The wood was sourced from Northland Kauri and the carvers at Nga Wha prison built the seats and carved the designs.  Auckland Council arranged for the installation and the Orewa Lions Club has agreed to maintain the benches in the future.

Funds came from fundraising projects during the last twelve months. Each table cost around $2,000.

These will be a great asset for our Community and should give many familes pleasure  for many years.
