Levin Waiopehu

The Levin Waiopehu Lions Club was Chartered in April 1975 and celebrated its 40th Anniversary in April 2015.

We are a mixed gender club of 16 members. New members from 18 years of age are always welcome and you are encouraged to contact the Club's membership Chairman Tony Clifford at theclifford@xtra.co.nz.

Some of our projects in the past have been a film premier of The Hobbit, running a magic show, supporting a quiz night for a Levin youngster with a Brain Tumour and members replacing seating at the Levin North Primary School.  The latest project has seen members painting crosses for the War Vets Home in Levin including installing the serviceman's name on the cross.

We are particularly social with a bowls roll up at the Waitarere Beach Bowling Club followed by fish & chips in the clubrooms, quiz nights at the War Vets and private residences, a tour of the Chateau on Mt. Ruapehu, a tour of the Governor General's residence followed by lunch at Te Papa and a trip to the Mangatainoka Brewery.

If you wou;ld lke to know more about the club and you wish to pop along to a meeting please call the Secretary on 06 3670300.
