MANUREWA - President Ricky Penny -

Cultural Diversity in Lions Club of Manurewa

"We Serve"

Manurewa as a region has a broad cultural diversity and for the Lions Club of Manurewa to be truly representative of our community we need to be diverse in our Membership. We have quite a number of ethnic groups in our Club - both ladies and gentlemen - varying in age from early 20's to late 70's.
We now have members from the Samoan Community, the Indian Community, the Nigerian Community, the Filipino Community and the European Community.

This move to a broader cultural diversity has been great for the club and the atmosphere in the club meetings is just great. The ideas for ways that we can serve our community have come fast and in huge numbers. We need to add more people to enable us to do everything we want to do - as every person is two additional hands to help us achieve our motto "We Serve".

If you are local or even if you are from outside of Manurewa, this club will welcome you and value the contribution that you can make to our community. Together we can all achieve far more than any one of us can do on our own.

Do you want to be part of something that is growing, something that is vibrant, and something that is changing the lives of people in our community? Come along and see how the Manurewa Lions Club works - we have fun while working hard for each other!
