The Eltham Lions Club are the current custodians of the Eltham Toy Wall, which was created by the late Fay Young for the enjoyment of the children in the community.  She cemented toys into the wall near her house, which has now passed into the Eltham Lions Club's care, and a visit to the wall is very much a trip down memory lane.  Today the wall contains all sorts of toys from McDonald's toys to ceramic plates, car badges to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, alphabet letters to Disney Princesses.  The Toy Wall is open to the public to view every day, free of charge and really is a fitting tribute to Fay Young's work.

Appropriately, there's a Lion on the wall.

A sample of the toy wall.  Feel free to check it out for yourself.  Come on a sunny day and you can bring a picnic to eat in the nearby park or stop at the Rhubarb Cafe or Inflame Cafe for a bite to eat!
